I recently purchased a 1959 XK-150 OTS with Overdrive, mostly original (except for fuel pump)as a driver and would like recommendations on lubricants. The car is driven in the South only, and has slight leaks from the engine, transmission, and differential, which I can live with, but would like to minimize with more viscous lubricants if possible.
I've heard that some synthetics must be avoided because of seal damage(??)
Any advice here on currently available lubricants for the engine, transmission and differential and the chassis lub points would be appreciated.
Also spare parts for road trips you would recommend.
Many thanks
Pete

Peter your handbook or the service manual will answer all of those questions and more that you have not thought of. If you are thinking spare parts you could just follow Jaguar's spare kit inventory. All is available in the shoppe.
Not a bother--many folks do not read the handbooks. Best that happens is they are frustrated worst is they damage something.
