Alas, the leaper bonnet ornament was stolen from my 97 XJ6 2 days ago. Do you have a suugestion as to where and at what cost I may buy a replacement?

Sorry to hear that Ken! I have seen them on E-Bay for as little as $8.00 to $10.00. In 2 different colors. BTW on the series III Jag like my 86 the leaper is NOT factory equipment. Perhaps it is not on yours as well. Might be best to just remove the base, or whatever remains of it, and fill in the holes.
