After a few starts during a day I occasionally get a completely zero when ignition is turned. A possible sign of pending switch failure?
Believed original switch 1973 XKE 2+2.
If it needs replacing is it a big job for a good mechanic?

More info, please. Define 'completely dead'. What happens? Do the gauges come on? Ignition light? How do you cure it? How long has this been happening?
