Joey I share your wishes and will admit that we are running a few weeks behind (actually a couple of months) but the chair of that committee is hopeful for a launch soon. Your energy would have been useful when a few of the BOD were pushing for a new web site. It took 4 years but this last March funds were approved and a contractor search was begun. We vetted the applications and chose a vendor. Since that time construction of the new site has progressed well but with challenges. Please understand we are not updating this web site but building a new site. This site has its origins in 1992 and has been patched and "fixed" since that time. When a detailed look was made of the current site it became clear an update was just a further fix and would be a waste of club money. So please date your expectations from March 2014 or May 2014 when a contract was let (8 or 9 months). Some folks base their hopes and time line from the ease of forming a new web site that most are familiar with. The JCNA web site is very complex and has suffered from neglect and patching for decades. A simple web site with forums and such would have been easy but please understand the JCNA web site must not only be that but a base for all clubs to post scores and status. Further the site houses all of the programing for score entry and the calculations for results. Sort of a long winded reply but we (JCNA) need to keep you informed. In the end we will have a great product that is fully interactive and will embrace things like Facebook which Ginger has done well with. Thanks Joey and next time will tap you for energy on the front end.
