I'll be picking up my '95 XJS V-12 this Saturday (April 14th) and plan on driving her from Virginia to Boston, about a 10 hour drive. Information from the current owner indicates the car is solid and will make the trip with no problems, but I want to be thorough so any sugestions on things to check prior to departing would be greatly appreciated.
Also, in the (hopefully unlikely) event that the car does break down and I can't do a road repair, can anyone suggest reliable mechanics along the way. I'll be driving up Rt 81 from Roanakoe, Va to Harrisburg, Pa; then 78 / 287 to New York; finally Rt 95 to Boston.
