I have a 1979 XJS that is very nice shape but the heater & AC do not work. I tried to get to the back of the temperature switch by removing the radio and the acces panel on the side on the front part of the console but It seems to be encased in a metal box that I can't get too. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to access that switch? I also would like to replace the rear seat back. Are there any of these seats available from salvage yards or from the after market? I tried Moss but they did not list much in the way of upholstery items for this car.
