Thanks for everyone's response. I neglected to say that the engine is from a
'65 Series 1 4.2.
The height of the hex portion on the existing nut is 0.635" and on the new nut is 0.576".
The internal depth on the new nut is 0.938" which seems to be adequate.
Should I just shake a martini and forget about it?
