I have a bonnet from an XK 140 fitted to my XK 120. I believe that the only difference is the grill and addition of the chrome strip in the middle. I could remove the strip and fill in the holes, and swap out the grille. Any leads on a 120 grille, and place to sell my 140 grille? Can anybody tell me if this approach is not sound?

Hi Randy,
Yes, both grills will interchange with either bonnet. If you're looking for a new 120 grill, try e-bay it.# 8006460226.

My grille is straight and good looking, I cannot recall whether I would rate it as perfect or not as I am certain that it is close to 50 years old. I do not believe that there is much pitting, but can look closely and take pictures. For at least the last 30 years it has been garaged here in our desert environment.

The first thing that I need to confirm before I do this is that the bonnets are the same, such that a 120 grille will fit. Otherwise I will need to replace both bonnet and grille.
