My fuel gauge reads wrong. I can top it off with gas and the fuel gauge will read anything but full. Sometimes it does read full, but then it will only read 1/4 or 1/2 next time I start the car. It's unpredictable where it will be next! I was just driving on the freeway and I know I have at least 2/3 of a tank left, but it was in the red with the fuel light coming on. This is a serious problem that I need to get fixed. I'm assuming it's the sending unit in the tank giving the false reading to the guage. Is this a known problem? Anyone know how to fix it?
