Hi. What color was the US spec front license plate holder for XK120s when they left Brown's Lane? Black? Body color? Were the license plate holders on the car or in the trunk? Thanks.

Adrian,
There are a limited number of original pictures of XK120's awaiting shipment to the US. For some reason, almost all the cars shown are light colored. However, they all have their front license plate holders in place, above the front left bumpers, and all definitely appear to be body color.
Someone may have other evidence.
