Thanks for the input,Joel. Are you certain about the pin holes? Perhaps the brazing could be re-done , but I suppose that is as much work and time as installing new ones. I would like to avoid that operation, as I am sure you would have ,as well. However, if the choice is either crash when the suspension lets go or bite the bullet , there IS no choice.
I feel foolish to have driven it as hard as I did the first month. It DID seem to develop some "over steer" on a rough patch of road . That's what led me to start asking questions . I think the oversteer was likely my inexperience with the car, but my Austin-Healey 100 was better in those situations than the Jag. I guess I better have a good look at the front suspension and the steering...
