When the Ftype came out, it missed the mark big. The scion/Subaru, coupe essentially hit the mark for the buying group and I think have sold over 100,000 units?
Now the new Alfa comes out at 65 grand and a base model to follow at 54 grand.
This was the market Jag was trying to reach. The new Alfa, whether its dependable or not, looks neat, fresh, different and outside the box.
I love my ETYPE,love my xkr and all the others but they have to come up with something.
If you pair down Land Rover from the mix the sales for Jag like many others is way off. The new Genensis coupe, has been selling just as well as the other 2 mentioned.
I priced the ftype coupe and cannot get the car under 90 grand.
Again, Ilove Jag, but man the new alfa looks REAL GOOD.

Hi Joe,

I think you have made your opinion regarding the F-Type abundantly clear, repeatedly. But this is a Jaguar Club, if you want to keep slamming the car, please join the Subi or Alfa Club and do it over there. There are lots of people that don't share your opinion, so why continue ruining things for them. The F-Type is selling rather well, it turns heads everywhere it goes, and frankly, it is a blast to drive. [my opinion]

Please treat this Club and Forum as what it is, a gathering place for Jaguar Drivers and Lovers.
Opinions welcome, but this horse is dead.

Cheers,

WhatÔÇÖs your point Joe? WeÔÇÖve heard many times you donÔÇÖt like the F. I donÔÇÖt like ribs but I wouldnÔÇÖt start a thread about it on BBQ-lovers.net

Everyone has their opinion, which is fine, although wise people temper subjectivity with discretion. Upgrading opinion to fact takes more time and much more evidence than has accumulated since your last thread on how horrible/expensive/inferior the F-TYPE is in your view. The more time that goes by the more awards the F-TYPE wins, so some pretty clued-up people have a different opinion for sure. So, as this seems pretty much d?®j?á vu, IÔÇÖm not clear why you would post a variation of the same thing again so soon and I donÔÇÖt get what youÔÇÖre trying to communicate. I suppose it could be one or more of the following:
a) Jaguar couldnÔÇÖt design their way out of a paper bag
b) Jaguar market research and customer clinics suck
c) Jaguar have totally lost touch with the car market
d) Jaguar should have called you and saved themselves a lot of headcount and angst.

Obviously, I could well be wrong on all counts - that's the thing with opinions :-)

Drive safely
Pete.
