Edward, drop the distributor in, it will only seat at one position when the offset key way lines up. Number 1 cylinder is at the rear of the block. It is better to use number 6 at the front. Pull the front spark plug, rotate the engine with you finger over the spark plug hole. When you feel it coming up on compression stop cranking. Put the car in gear and roll it forward until you find top dead center. Put number 6 spark plug wire in the cap where the rotor is pointing. Firing order is 153624 CC. Should start & run, you can the fine tune the timing by advancing or retarding the distributor.
