While rebuilding my 4.2 engine, (7E-1336-9), I discovered the filter behind the lower timing chain tensioner is missing ... replaced by a Plug that extends about 1/4" out of the block!
How could this work? ... maybe why the tensioner is worn? ... someone just loaded it up against the chain?
I am working on getting the plug out; has anyone seen that before?
