I have to admit, if you get rid of the "PLAY STATION 3" interior and steering wheel. change the front Mitsubishi front nose and spend an extra 100 dollars to hide the front nurf bar. THE DAMN NEW F TYPE COUPE IS PREETY GOOD!
In coupe form...
To bad ,its close but awfully cheap in so many depts.
Great neck Jag get papers ready I might be in soon....
Never thought I would say it but my 2008 xkr is so soothing inside ......
No shock interior goes a long way.

I sat down with Nick and Tony at my forever Jag dealership, we priced out a coupe , with metal roof, silver paint , red calipers if optional and the base v6 , I like the pipes up the middle.
He came in at around 90 grand when they start coming in. I still have to sit in it though, Ive become VERY spoiled with my 2008 XKR coupe. The room inside is like a Lincoln town car and the seats are like BUTTA.
So we shall see,
I still have a whole bunch of issue with the materials and looks, but I want to try something new.
Everything else is boring, everything.
So, when the snow melts in a couple of months we will see. Im tired of the ETYPE comparisons, Its not an etype, its not as pretty but like Robert has said, it also doesn't fall apart in the driveway.
So we shall see. Hope I like it.......Just wish the front and interior was different.

As the very proud and happy owner of a "Play Station" interior F Type Jaguar the beauty of choice is that those who prefer to drive a car that starts every time that the ignition button (yes button) is pushed, handles like a dream, allows you to monitor your speed, fuel, engine condition and other things that apparently Lucas electrical felt were inconsequential to motoring and oh lastly actually gets you to your designated destination without the aid of a tow truck and a mechanic is why some choose to own an F and others, well as a former owner of a Lucas equipped Jaguar Vandam Plas Sovereign choose to drive another type Jag. The other reason, could be that I always felt that Darth Vader's mask would make a great looking front end. I recently drove a round trip from Las Vegas to Napa CA. and the run through the mountains and the pass at Tehachipi was something that should be on everyone's Bucket List. Unfortunately I had to request that the vineyards put their wines in Ziploc bags to get them into the "Boot"

first time I saw the thing I thought Hmmm front end looks like the mask of Darth Vader. Had a similar reaction to the XJ-S when it came out looked like a Camaro on steroids.. so far haven't changed my mind on either. The thing that above all put me off it is the 'sports exhaust' why not just put glass packs on it.. This is is no more a 'sports car' than the XJ-S! Pity. Just glad I picked up a XJ220 when they were cheap!.. Now there's a sports car! I wonder if Jaguar will EVER produce another sporting machine..or will they go the way of so many companies who spend far too much time with the PR dept.. and far to little with the enthusaists :( If so guess my next purchase will be a Ferrari.
