William, I built a crude, but sufficient stand out of wood and ran the engine for a significant amount of time without overheating and it remained solid at high revs.

The photo doe not show a temporary control panel on the right side containing the temp and oil pressure gauges near their senders and a starter switch. The fuel pump was mounted to the stand and drew from a 1 gallon gas tank. The alternator was not connected so it ran from the battery.

Good luck, this was a fun project.
