The engine warning light on my 82' HE V12 comes on when the engine starts in the morning along with the sound of the fuel pump still running. The engine does not seem to be fired up completely while this happens. After a short perioud of time, the light will be off, and I can not hear the fuel pump anymore and the engine will be stable.
1)Is this a symptom of a bad fuel filter, or is the fuel pump going bad? 2)What does the warning light mean?
3)If the fuel filter or pump is bad would I not have engine problem all the time while driving and not just at cold startups?
4)Can it be connection/wireing problem to the pump?
