In 1961 , a popular Canadian sports car magazine called Canada Track and Traffic ( CT& T) purchased a 1961 E-type roadster and began racing the car in Canada . The car was purchased by Norm Namerow , who was co-owner of CT&T at the time and also a race car driver . After a near disastrous accident with the car caused by suspension failure , Namerow sold the car to another Montreal based racer , Dave Greenblatt. Greenblatt modified the engine and suspension and campaigned the car a few times in Canada and the US with some degree of success. I have contacted Dave Greenblatt about the E-type to determine itÆs eventual fate but after Dave sold the car he lost track of it. . According to him this was the first production or prototype E-type to race in North America and it therefore has considerable historical provenance. If you know of anyone who may have some information on the car please forward my email . Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide!
