Hey gentlemen and friends: I understand the purpose of removing the exra throttle valves is because they slow up the response of the engine. But the purpose of them (extra throttle valves) is to redirect the air/gas mix at low rpm to a path through the exhaust manifold to satisfy some pollution requirement of the US Govt. enacted in 1971. Not that I'm a bleeding heart tree hugger , but how effective is simply holding those extra throttle valves fully open ? They must be only half opening if there is such a great improvement in throttle response .. And how fast does the engine have to be turning to make them open anyway?
Perhaps they should have insisted that the E-types drag around an air purifier machine to chatch the exhaust fumes too.
