Somehow I got some paint splashed up on the side of my X-type. It looked like mud so unfortunately I didn't wash it off right away. How do I get the paint off without ruining the finish of my car?

You will likely have good success with a little polishing. Start with the finest abrasive, and only move to a coarser abrasive if necessary. Once the unwanted paint is gone, use successively finer polishes and finish with a quality wax. Just be careful with abrasive polishes, especially on swage lines and other protruding bits - you don't want to go through the car's paint!
