My crankshaft is worn and I need .040" or .050" bearings. Can anyone tell me where to get them or where crank can be built up and bearings to match? Thanks, R.A.(Joe) Hansen

I am also restoring a MK IV DHC. Cordell Newby (509)662- 7748, Lists 3 1/2 bearings in his Catalogue. They are also available from Wally Vorlaufer, VOR Components, www.vorcomp.co.za .Wally also offers a Rear Seal conversion which uses a modern lip seal, however the crankshaft must be welded up and reground to accept the kit. You may end up doing that to the journals anyway. He is in So. Africa, but if your order is small it can be shipped by mail which is fast and mostly customs hassel free. I have used both of these vendors for the DHC and the SS 100 that I am currently restoring. Fell free to drop my name or contact me if I can be of more help. (501)767-8489
