I'm considering purchasing a post 1990's XKR or XK convertible. I'm wondering if there is major maintenance scheduled or strongly recommended at certain mileage/age points. For example, some cars will have you change the timing belt at say 90,000 miles or 84 months. The few maintenance schedules I've found are mainly oil/filter change schedules. I've seen some candidates online ranging from 50,000 to 90,000 miles and trying to judge the value with consideration of any major preventive maintenance schedules.

Aside from the usual items like good maintenance records, close inspection, make sure everything does actually work, etc, are there any other things to watch for or common repairs needed?

Pre-purchase inspection by a Jaguar shop may not be an option depending on where I find it since I'm located in Montana.

Thanks.
