Last night I was preparing my non-authenticity list for Class 16 and have ran into a problem concerning exterior lighting.
I am entering a 69 E-type in Class 16. When I had the car painted last year I had the shop fill the mounting holes for the side marker lights because I purposely wanted to delete the lights. This is an early 69 so the lights are actually only reflectors and are otherwise non functional. I can find no authenticity deduction for missing lights in the Concours manual on this web site. The non-authenticity deductions only address missing lenses.
I don't want to take an unwarranted hit for not having these lights. I am assuming that I should note on the exceptions list I give the Chief Judge that the lights are absent, meaning the lenses are obviously absent also.
Any guidence or comments will be appreciated.
