I have a 59XK150S FHC. The clutch is slipping badly and smells from burning. This car has overdrive. Is there a way to repair the clutch thru inside of car where the stick shift is located or do I need to move the engine gearbox area from underneath the car to repair. The frame underneath on this model is welded so repairing from underneath the car is a large job. Any thoughts on this and thanks.

Michael you will need to remove the engine and transmission from the car--any work around will lead to severe cutting of your car that will devalue it and usually give a less than satisfactory job. Sorry but do it right and once. Good luck.
