Changing Passenger side headlight XJR

Trying to replace HID headlight on 2004 XJR. There is a removable plastic cover on the backside inside the engine compartment. I need to remove that cover to gain access. I can remove it on the driver side but am having no luck on the passenger side. I can unlatch the cover and move the top back but I can't get the cover out so I can get to the bulb -- I can get the cover off on the driver side.

Any suggestions?
