Howdy,
Both rear brake lights do not come on when applying the brake pedal. The brakes work well, car stops but the lights do not come on. I have replaced the #3 fuse. I would guess it is the brake light switch. I searched throughout the service manual and could not find a reference to the switch or a diagram pointing out where it is. I would guess it is apart of the brake pedal assembly or apart of the servo assembly located by the right front wheel arch ?

Brake Lights out. Where in the world is the brake light switch ?
Thanks everyone.
I ran a wire from the hot side to the cold side of the switch. With the ignition on the brake lights work. So it's the switch (see photo

Jim,
Regardless of the model, follow the brake lines from the master cylinder. The switch should be somewhere after the booster. It's the only part on the brake lines that are wires going in and out :-)

Jim,
On my 1960 Mk2 the switch (pressure switch) is located on the right front fender close to the distributor. 12V is provided by the terminal with two green wires, one of them going to the clod start solenoid. Check first if you get current at the switch. I had the same issue and it was actually a cut wire.

Jim---uh---what model do you have---if a MK2 look directly above the booster and you will see it!
The switch on my mK2 is inoperable. It looks like it should be a standard thread and part. Anyone know if these are readily available at local parts stores?
Thanks.
