I found this car via the XK Data website and immediately noted the sun visors. As you may know, sun visors were not an option on drop-head 140's, only fixed-heads, but I have always lamented their lack on my 140 drop-head. However, even the fixed-head visors were less ornate (read substantial) than these. They do appear to be plexiglas of some sort like the original Jaguar ones (Perspex), but the fixed-head visors lacked the all-round chrome framing of these. I was originally thinking they might be off a Mark VII or something, but those turn out to have been solid, like modern visors. Anyone out there recognize these things??? I phoned the Beverly Hills dealer that has the car but they drew a blank...

There is a thread on these on Jag lovers--they are not authentic--that was never in question--the question was where did they come from and the answer seems to be Merc-a-des 190 a wonderful car--if you have a month to take a trip! LOL
