Does anyone have any experience to share regarding Aluminum Radiator and fan combinations. There are a number of suppliers and the fans vary on the amps they draw. Some of the vendors are CoolCat Express, Ron Davis, XK'S and Retro Air.
Thanks for the input.

Ron if your engine is in good tune and clean then you will gain little over the stock radiator. While it is all the rage to go to ally the stock radiator is more than sufficient and you can have it repaired. Jaguar began the E type with Ally rads and left them as they were (and still are) impossible to repair and retain efficiency.

I used to run a CoolCat and never had any cooling problems after that; didn't need an aluminum radiator. Short the connection at the Otter switch so that the fan comes on all the time, and is not dependent on the Otter switch actually working. Also put in a bottle of wetter water and 50-50 mixture of coolant to water. Make sure your cap is good and new..would advise a new 13 lb. cap.

My opinion.
