Please bear with me. If I replace my original alternator with a 110 amp one wire alternator, it hooks directly to the positive terminal post of the battery via an 8 gauge wire. What other wiring (loom) does the current flow through? Doesn't the internal voltage regulator in the new alternator serve to maintain the charge in the battery, which means the current flow from the alternator only goes to the battery? So, as I understand it, no other wiring in the vehicle is exposed to higher current, only the one wire to the battery. Am I missing something here?
