IÔÇÖd like to remind those who plan to attend the AGM as a delegate or as a guest to submit their registration form and make their room reservation, if they have not already done so. A delegate saves $10 (and a non-delegate saves $5) on the package price if the form is postmarked by this Saturday, Feb 20. The sooner I know how many are coming, the sooner I can determine if changes to contracts need to be negotiated.

The ÔÇ£packageÔÇØ is described under the FAQ link on the JCNA AGM website, along with some other details.

The deadline to assure our special room rate is March 1 and the deadline for registration is March 10.

To avoid delays when checking in at the Hospitality Suite, IÔÇÖve been trying to resolve issues with those who appear to have had trouble with the design of the form. If you havenÔÇÖt heard from me yet, itÔÇÖs likely I understand your intentions and your registration form is OK.

Since the form went to print late last year some details have changed:
1) Seminar 1 on an XK140 JudgeÔÇÖs Guide will not be held,
2) Seminar 4 on the auction process is problematic, and
3) A replacement seminar is pending.

I appreciate those using the Forum to exchange views on motions in advance of the AGM. If the other motions are considered as thoroughly as one or two have been, the ClubÔÇÖs business will be completed on time.

Anyone having a general question for me after checking the FAQs is welcome to use this Forum. If you have a unique question or complaint, feel free to contact me directly.

As indicated earlier, today is the last day to register for the AGM. By the end of the week I plan to solidify meal and transportation contracts with various venues and companies.

Anyone who plans to use the traditional show-up-at-the-last-minute-to-register approach will be disappointed. Accomodating an exception is theoretically possible if space allows but several "exceptions" could cause unintended consequences. Accepting last minute registrations is unfair to those who have planned ahead (to say nothing of the local volunteers and vendors).

I am particularly concerned about those who have made reservations at the host hotel but have yet to submit their AGM form, indicating what they plan to attend (and their menu choice if they plan to stay for the awards banquet).

Last call - over 125 plan to attend now for all or part of the AGM weekend. If you haven't sent me your registration form and check, you need to do it today or email me at cburkatkiva.net to have any chance of saving a spot at any of the events.

Best regards,
