The 1990 XJS V12 I now have is not a TWR/Jag Sport model but it came with an OEM spoiler installed.
The spolier was never an issue in concours judging but I have now seen two dozen other XJS(s) at shows without a spolier in sight. It seems that a spolier is a tad uncommon.
I also received two uninstalled (yellow) Lucas fog-lights and fog-light covers with the car when it was purchased.
So I ask:
Is a spolier actually uncommon on a non TWR XJS?
and
Are these the right fog lights for this model?
It would be frustrating to install the wrong fog lights.
Thanks in advance to those in the know.

Dan,
I thought you refering to a XJR-S type rear spoiler. Every XJ-S has a front (chin) spoiler, at least every car and photo I've seen has one. The rear spoiler could be dealer installed. I can't be absolutely positive (I'll research) but most standard cars I' ve seen don't have a rear spoiler.

Here is another picture (from when it was bought) showing the front view.
The front seems to be a typical 5.3 type air scoop/spoiler.
The Lucas fog-light caps I was writing of before can also be seen.
For the Concours this year, these fog-lights were removed as they do not work and I am not sure they are authentic.
The Fog Lights are big, square & yellow and are branded Lucas. The covers are plastic and also say Lucas on them.
They do not look like other examples of the same model that I have seen.
I do not want to install the foggers if they are non-authentic.

Here a picture of the side view in which you can see the spoiler on the rear trunk.
This was one the pictures from the sales advertisement when it was bought.

Two of my neighbours own XJ-S's and they both have air dams under the front bumpers. I purchased the CD-Rom's for both the 4.0 and 6.0 litre
models and came up with what looks like the answer. It seems that if the car has the plastic moulded front bumper cover then the air dam is not fitted. The change is at serial number 188105.
The undertray is modified to accept air scoops to draw cooling air up to the front brakes however.

I believe they all have a front lower spoiler, this I believe helps the V12 keep cool, directing air up towards the radiator. Probably helps the car keep stable at higher speeds by limioing airflow under the car so has a double benefit......

The dealer option is the likely explanation the paint seems to be OEM.
Subjectively, I like the front view (chromed) and lattice wheels of the 5.3 better than the 6.0 versions.
The trunk spolier is distinctive but at the time I bought it thought most cars would have it.
On the other hand, until I went to an event in Michigan, I had never seen the dealer optioned chromed lattice wheels either.
