The amplifier (AB14, the black unit) gets very hot, I can't remember if this is normal, does anyone know how hot they get? Also, this design has no trigger unit in the distributor, -it is inside the AB14, so i presume it uses a non magnetic rotor arm! thank you

Hello George, thankyou, the 1st FI cars had the pick up for the FI signal on a plastic base they called a trigger board, this system needed the magnet in the rotor arm, pt # 54422422. When they moved to the next generation with the AB14 and an auxillary coil, the trigger board was eliminated, the FI signal was now provided by the AB14. as a result there was no need for a magnet in the rotor arm now Pt # JLM9624, which is similiar to the early V12 rotor ( 54401928) The car I have has a magnetic rotor and i'm wondering if it will interfere with the spark magnetic signal! Regards.
