the door lock is stuck in the closed position. I CAN't see how to get the lock apart. the space is so small it is almost impossible to get a tool in the opening. How do i get the lock out? do i remove the chrome handle? then what? The door will open if u use the inside handle.

Pat you must remove the entire assy. You can then open with the inside handle or you can push the opening paddle through the hole where your handle was.
