I've received mixed messages concerning the static timing for my 22D6/ LU 54422224 Vacuum RETARD capsule. If this is a 9:1 comp engine as indicated by my engine #, should I still be using a static of 5 deg? Also, am thinking of going to a Brit Vac Unit " Special Vacuum Advance Unit" with the old code of 7-14-8. Being a vac advance, it will necessitate relocating the carb vacuum from manifold to ported . Any comments or experience with this conversion?
