Thanks for the replys...I had to open both overhead doors of the polebarn after the starting fluid trick. Today I set out to remove the steering rack. I mixed up the 50:50 acetone/ATF for todays adventure. Had one overhead open. Could not free up one mounting bolt so I concentrated instead on the intake manifold and water pump and got them off without much difficulty. Now I finally can see my engine number. Is it Mike that does the history search? I would like to obtain the full history of my FHC now that I believe I have all the numbers ...JB
