I am trying to find out exactly where the starter solenoid is located on the frame of a LHD car AND, are the terminals facing up or down?

Not correct so I guess it does not matter. Would be easier to connect that way though!

William it should be on the diag. brace directly behind the battery--uses a special bracket. It faces Connections face up--emergency button on the bottom.
