I'm not sure what to call it, so I'm using 'stop' as the term.
It keeps the door open in two positions so it doesn't swing closed on your leg when getting out.
Mine started to go 'POP! POP!' for a few days, then it stopped working entirely. The door just swings freely now.
It's a danger to cars next to me in the parking lot, and a danger to my legs!
What broke?
Is this something I oughta have a 'real' mechanic look at?
I'm thinking that a spring broke or the inner workings broke loose from their welds.
Any thoughts out there?
