My 1995 XJR engine (70,000 miles) repeatedly dies usually after early California morning start. The only local authorized dealer (with monopoly on high tech diagnostic equipment) can't figure it out even when it has died on its mechanic (bad experience - dealer then forgot to replace motor mount and then charged $200.00 to rotate tires to "cure" vibration!)
I did see a post concerning engine dying: Check crankshaft sensor fitted on the timing chain cover by the crankshaft pully. It controls signal to ECU for ign. and injectors.

Any other ideas would be much appreciated?
