My original fuel pump gave out. could not start the car. I bought a new one and installed it. I heard a loud whining sound in the cabin so I tok the pump back and it was replaced I also replaced the fuel filter. Ok for a while and now again I hear that loud whine from the pump. What am i missing?

out of experience if it is a aftermarket fuel pump this noise "whine" just may be normal. You can always take it out again and connect jumper wires to it to confirm that the noise is from the pump and not incorrectly installed. Most pumps have a black rubber sleeve that goes over the pump to assist in dampening the noise. Did you possibly leave this off?
