never had that happen in my '84, but there are two ¢" diameter clear vinyl
tube drains behind the radio one on each side of the center console, close to the bulkhead (or "firewall"). those are the a/c evaporator water drains.
They must be stopped-up. I've heard of inserting a metal clothes hanger to clear any stuff in them.
