I just started a 1973 Jaguar V12 after purchasing it last summer. It had sat for several years but had had the engine redone prior to sitting. After I got the fuel tank cleaned and all the fuel lines redone I cranked it over today. It started right up with no trouble and no smoke. The problem is it will not run unless the choke is half on. As soon a I move the choke to any level less than half, the engine sputters and then dies.
Has anyone had this problem and if so any ideas on a solution?

Also, does anybody know a great v12 mechnic in the Tampa/ St Pete area of Florida?
Thanks,
