I just acquired a 1962 XKE which has belted tires. The tread is great but I do not know how old the tires are and they might be somewhat brittle. If I replace them with radials what brand and size should I use. Any insights here would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Try Coker Tire. When I had my E-type, they were able to supply the PROPER SIZE in a modern radial (Michelin). I forget the size, but the judges were always impressed that the car was shod with the right size. Bill Cooper

One of the guy's I know installed Dunlop D40 M2 radials, another has a set of Yokos on his, they are both good, as I have an XJS ..........I have a set of Dunlop D40m2 for for our car also, but nowodays Goodyear Slicks are in order. Throw those belted things right away, my advice anyway,
Good Luck,
