1. My headlights no longer work on dim. They work fine on "bright". To get them to work at all first the master lighting switch is turned on, then the "dip" switch (combination switch) is moved from whatever location it was left in and the "bright lights" come on, and the blue light on instrument panel indicating "bright" lights up. If one then activates and pushes the dip switch the lights go out (no dim and bright goes off). When the dip switch is activated the second time the bright lights come back on. Any ideas what is causing this. Is my only choice replacing the entire very expensive switch?

2. After a normal oil change the oil is still not clear and clean. The mechanic says it is a design defect and the only way to have clean oil is to do two oil changes. That is after the first one run the engine a bit and then change it again. This is expensive and still does not get the oil as clean as American Cars we have owned. Any ideas? Thank You!

Hi, there is actually a special flushing oil that can be used, the car is then idled for about ten minutes and then drained and a new filter installed along with some good quality oil .
PS, get the guy to fill the new filter with as much as oil possible before the install, I have been doing this for years , and now they are even recomending it on some of the TV shows,

1. First thing I would do is check both bulbs. Quite often a person drives with one bulb out and doesn't realize it until the second burns out.

3. Not knowing the history or the car, this is kind of iffy. Did he change the filter as well? It holds about a quart of oil. Did he let it drain completely? That being said, oil changes are cheap and the only damage from changing the oil too often is to your wallet. Try changing the oil again and see what happens.
