The Restoration of our 1972 E-Type

The Restoration of our 1972 E-Type

In 1997 we started a project. Cathie's E-Type's V12 engine had a serious problem, so in the process of fixing it, well, you know, one thing led to another. After the engine was out, we replaced the floor and bulkhead, and well, everything else got restored or replaced. In August of 2001 we finished. Our first long ride was to the JANE sponsored JCNA Concours in Sturbridge Massachusetts. We were not going to enter, but wanted to go for a long ride to enjoy the show. It was a great time. The E performed superbly on the winding back roads to the show. On the way home we took the highway and it was a great feeling to drive this great automobile after a 4 year absence.

Here are some pictures of the finished project, and some of the shots while "putting all the parts back together".
