JCOF members Ian and Hazel Crawford left their cars at home and travelled to the Pantanal in Brazil to seek more elusive cats. Normally, this third largest cat in the World is very hard to find, but a combination of temperatures up to 108 degrees and the end of the dry season forced the cats and other creatures to the rivers for moisture and cooling.
Overall, they saw a record 12 cats due to the exceptional conditions and great naturalists on board. They are long, low, muscular, and growl – just like our cars!
