• Built for 3 years in a time when convertibles were not built by auto manufacturers, 1986-88 production run for this model.
• The XJ-SC Cabriolet was the unique design that Jaguar used until they came out with a convertible in 1989.
• Unique top features:
  • “T” tops that lift out and store vertically in the boot of the car taking up very little space.
    • Storage pouch that is divided to hold both tops located in boot.   
  • Built in roll bar when safety was a key factor and reason why convertibles were not built.
  • Rear top behind the roll bar. The car comes with two tops in this area.
    • The first is a soft convertible top that folds down for open air motoring and more airflow as you drive.
    • The second is a hard top with glass window and rear window defogger for winter driving.
    • Tonneau cover for soft convertible top.
    • 1988 was the only year that offered both tops as a standard when purchased new.

• V-12 5.3 litre engine producing 262HP from a 2 valve per cylinder head.
• Our family is the second owner, purchased in 1991 with over 85K miles.
• Exterior color:  Bordeaux red metallic, repainted in the 1990’s.
• Interior color:  Magnolia leather, original that the car was built with.
• Boot – a very large storage area with full size spare with a matching ‘starfish’ wheel.  Includes all tools that came with the car when new.
• Owner’s manual is the original one.
• AM/FM cassette radio.
• Built in Jaguar radar detector that came with the car when new.
• Telescoping steering wheel.
• Heated seats.
• 2 Rear storage cubbies behind the front seats.
• Ownership history included showing the car in Jaguar Clubs of North America Concours d ’Elegance car shows for several years in the 1990’s. Although driven since its show history it is still in good shape. The car achieved North American Champion in Class C-14 during this period.
