JCO Fall Poker Run to Bulldog Pub and Grille - October 3, 2026
JCO members come join us on Saturday, October 3rd for a scenic drive poker run to lunch at Bulldog Pub and Grille, 108 E. Main St. (Rt. 303), Lagrange, OH 44050.
We will meet at 8:30am at the Quality Inn located at 4742 Brecksville Rd, Richfield. It’s just south of the I-77/ Turnpike interchange. We’ll have a short driver’s meeting at 9:00, receive our first playing card and get on the road by 9:30. Detailed route sheets will be handed out on the day of the event but the drive will also be on the Rallista app that will give you turn by turn directions. Additional instructions about using the Rallista app will be emailed out prior to the drive.
This route will take us through the scenic views of both the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and Hinckley Reservation with a stop at Hinckley Lake. Here we’ll receive two more playing cards for our poker hand. The second half of the route leaves the park roads but is still full of twists and turns as we meander toward our destination to the Bulldog Pub and Grille. The drive is only 56 miles in total and we should arrive at the pub just after opening. One more card will be handed out once we get settled at the restaurant. We will then pick one community card from the deck and everyone shares it to complete their poker hand. The winning hand receives $100!
The Bulldog Pub and Grille is owned by the English mother/daughter team of Karen and Juliet Moore. Here you’ll find delicious authentic British menu items such as Steak and Ale Pie, Bangers & Mash, Bubble and Squeak along with many other standard English and American pub offerings.
After lunch you’re all invited to make the 17 minute drive east on Rt. 303 to our house in Valley City for some English dessert treats. Detailed directions to our home will be handed out to those interested.
