Interesting Short Wheel Base Series 3 Roadster


This picture was taken while viewing Jay Leno's collection during the 2004 AGM in LA. it's a V12 Roadster, short wheel base, covered headlights, S1 tailights, flared arch.

5.7 liter V12 developping 450hp and Willwood brakes.

Alternator Conversion for Series 3 E-type


After 2 alternators and 3 regulators in 18 months I decided to solve the problem by getting a modern alternator fitted to my 72 E-type.

One of the problems with the orginal BUTEC setup is that a bad alternator can fry the regulator... so replacing the regulator sometimes will not help since you'll be back to square one, minus a regulator...

While the conversion is simple on many cars, on the V12 E-type it's a little more tricky because the alternator is mounted backward, turning the wrong way. If not a problem to generate electricity, it's a problem for the cooling fins...

Series 3 Console modification


I never liked the look of the molded plastic tunnel cover Jaguar used in the series 3... very 70ish, very cheap looking...

So I got a series 2 cover, which I re trimmed in black leather. I also covered the painted metal radio console. the kit cam with the material for the cubby/arm rest which also looks better in black instead of red...

And since my car has a JT5 gearbox, an X-type shift knob was the perfect match...

Random E-Type under the full moon


Driving along the Key Biscayne causeway, I spotted this red E-type parked in a lot near Seaquarium. With the full moon behind and my car's headlight, I tried taking a picture.... It's fairly rare to run into an E-type in Miami...
